Episode 353
And just like that…Halloween has come and gone. It was a busy October and so many things were accomplished. There were haunted houses to visit, screams to create, pumpkins to carve, decorations to make, candy to hand out, and so many more things that make October special. Luckily there are still a few haunts keeping their doors open this week and next before some of them begin gearing up for Holiday Season and Krampus events. But just because the spooky season is over doesn’t mean the Big Scary Show is going away. Be sure to stick around and see what the (g)hosts are planning beyond the Halloween season.
Storm is ranting in a Haunt Minute. Meathook Jim is talking about the Skunk Ape in Between the Corpses. Badger brings you the latest in Deadline News, and the Old Crone is talking about blackout events. We have a new Gruesome Giveaway for November, and finally, we’re spinning some spooky tunes as we mourn the end of the year’s greatest month.
The Roundtable of Terror goes into the mythology and folklore behind Samhain, Dia De Los Muertos, and Halloween. So many of us celebrate the holiday but do we really know what it’s all about? The origins of these holidays go back quite a long way. We invite some special guests to sit down and go into the meanings and symbolism behind our favorite holiday(s). It’s a fascinating conversation you do not want to miss. All this, and so much more.
We hid the body, but you’ll become an accomplice just by listening to……..the BIG SCARY SHOW Episode 353. (And Happy Halloween everyone!)
