Welcome to September and haunted houses are already opening up. Badger of course has already visited a couple but the rest of the (g)hosts are giddy with anticipation of cooler temperatures, leaves changing, visiting pumpkin patches, and of course, haunted houses. We’re pretty much in full Halloween mode at this point and are breaking out the seasonal decorations even though it’s still pretty hot outside. We simply couldn’t wait. So in the meantime; sit back, grab your headphones, and enjoy the Big Scary Show Episode 375 as we celebrate the return of haunted attractions opening their doors to unsuspecting victims.
Storm is ranting about Dolly Parton and corn mazes in a Haunt Minute. Meathook Jim is bringing a new short horror story to Between the Corpses. Badger brings you the latest in Deadline News. And the Old Crone brings you information about Stay4Halloween, a new and very important project we are excited to be a part of. There’s a BRAND NEW Gruesome Giveaway for September, (and you know the prize is going to be good since haunt season is here, so listen closely and enter). Finally, we’re spinning some rockin’ tunes to celebrate the return of Spooky Season 2026.
The Roundtable of Terror brings Dave Ferrier of Fearschool.com to have a seat and discuss the results of a survey he sent out to haunt actors, management, and others over the summer. The results were somewhat surprising, and led us into discussions of actor safety, training, and some darker issues which most people simply chalk off to ‘well, that’s just haunt life’. It’s a fascinating discussion that you need to hear, especially if you work for, or own a haunted attraction. All this and so much more.
We hid the body, but you’ll become an accomplice just by listening to……..the BIG SCARY SHOW Episode 375. (Are you excited for haunt season yet?)
