The Roundtable of Terror invites Kris Zahrobsky of Transworld to have a seat and discuss the inaugural East Coast Haunters Convention coming to Philadelphia in just a few short weeks. We discuss what it takes to put on a show like this and the expectations of a new show that’s already generating a lot of buzz in the industry. BIG SCARY SHOW – Episode 310 – Oddities and Curiosities Expo

Transworld is finally here. By the time you tune into Episode 310, the Big Scary Show will be in St Louis for the biggest trade show of the year. Badger, The Old Crone, and Wicked Wendy will all be vending, walking the floor, and talking to everyone they can. However, before we hit the road to St Louis, Badger spent a weekend at the Oddities and Curiosities Expo in Charlotte, and talked to several odd and curious vendors.. If you get a chance, be sure to visit one of the O&C Expos if they come to a town near you.

Storm is ranting about Leap Day and trailers in a Haunt Minute. Meathook Jim discusses Death Row in Asia in Between the Corpses. Badger reads the latest in Deadline news. The Old Crone talks about selecting a realtor to help find a location for your haunt. We have a brand new Gruesome Giveaway for the month of March. Since everyone is in St Louis, The Roundtable of Terror decided to forego having any guests as most everyone is busy making their final preparations. Because of that, we’ve brought back our soon-to-be-famous game show, the 13 Questions of Doom. Storm is in charge this week as he doles out the questions, judges the answers from the (g)hosts, and awards points accordingly. Will there be a new champion crowned in this show? Big Scary Show – Episode 299 – Haunt Beginnings and Endings

It’s the first full weekend of October, and the haunt season is getting into full swing. There’s a LOT of haunts opening up and ready to scare the pants and bodily fluids out of their patrons this weekend. The members of the Big Scary Show are just so excited to get out there and start visiting local and national haunts. But even though many haunts are opening up this weekend, many have been open for weeks, so get out there and support ALL the haunts.

Storm is ranting about burning haunts and spider doughnuts in a Haunt Minute. Meathook Jim discusses forerunners of the guillotine in Between the Corpses. Badger reads the latest in Deadline news, and the Old Crone talks about how young is too young to go through a haunt. The Haunt-Strumetallist Jerry Vayne returns to the show with a 2-part report from The Ritual Haunted Attraction in Englewood, Colorado, and Vysther is back with Part 2 of his retrospective of 20 years as a home haunter. We do have a Gruesome Giveaway for October, and we’re spinning you some spooky tunes to celebrate haunt season.

The Roundtable of Terror discusses haunted houses that are unfortunately shutting down and closing its doors after this season. We invite haunt owners from Illinois, Arkansas, and North Carolina to talk about why they’re closing, what they plan to do next, and if they’re going to stay connected to the industry. It’s August and it’s HOT! I think most of us are longing for the fall when leaves start changing colors, temperatures start dropping, and haunts start opening. We only have a few more weeks to go, so let the Big Scary Show keep you company while we wait it out. We promise that fall will soon be here.

Big Scary Show – Episode 233 Horror Conventions and the Rondo Awards

With the month of March, it is usually the start of the Spring Haunt Trade Shows and Conventions, and after a total lock down in 2020, people are really REALLY ready to get back to the in person feel of the shows.  Joining us on the Roundtable of Terror are three convention organizers ready to welcome the fans back, with safety precautions of course.  Mark Norwood of Metrotham Con, Stephanie Freas of Carolina Fear Fest, and Paul Lanner of Haunters Against Hate, The Event, all join us to discuss the previous year, see what the future holds, and they way they are working to give the fans a fantastic, but safe, show.

After years of trying, Badger finally has an interview with the organizer of the Rondo Awards, David Colton.  If you don’t know what the Rondo Awards are, keep listening.
